Stranger In The Country

I am delighted to introduce a new song to you today that came about quite spontaneously as a little side project. In 2022, while visiting Emma Marie in Colorado, I had the idea for 'Stranger In The U.S.A.' – a little love story told from the perspective of a stranger in the USA. In 2023, I played Disney songs with Ventura Fox and Friends at several shows in Germany. That's where I met Sammy, who was simply great on the guitar, banjo, and other instruments. When I heard him play, I knew I needed exactly that sound for a country song. Inspired by the country music of the early 2010s, I went into the studio in January 2024. After 100 recorded tracks, I invited Sammy to add his guitar and banjo sounds. Shortly after, Antje joined in with fantastic backing vocals for the final chorus, and later, Stephanie gave the song the final touch with her violin. This project was an incredibly creative journey! We shot the video at my friend Jörg's beautiful paddock and created the perfect filming location with a bit of editing magic. A huge thank you to everyone involved – Sammy, Antje, Jörg, Stephanie, Christopher behind the camera, and everyone who supported us on site! I am super happy with the result!
